Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) chicken breast, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon oil (vegetable or sesame)
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow or green bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 teaspoon honey or sugar (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Cooked rice or noodles, for serving
- Sesame seeds or spring onions (for garnish)
Directions
- Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced chicken and cook 3–4 minutes until lightly browned.
- Stir in garlic and ginger. Cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add bell peppers and stir-fry 2–3 minutes until slightly tender.
- Pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and honey (if using).
- Toss everything for 2–3 minutes until the chicken is cooked and coated in sauce.
- Season with black pepper and taste. Add more soy sauce if needed.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles.
- Garnish with sesame seeds or spring onions.
Variation
Swap chicken for tofu or thin beef strips for a quick alternative.
