15 Minute Chicken Stir Fry

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon oil (vegetable or sesame)
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow or green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or sugar (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooked rice or noodles, for serving
  • Sesame seeds or spring onions (for garnish)

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced chicken and cook 3–4 minutes until lightly browned.
  3. Stir in garlic and ginger. Cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add bell peppers and stir-fry 2–3 minutes until slightly tender.
  5. Pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and honey (if using).
  6. Toss everything for 2–3 minutes until the chicken is cooked and coated in sauce.
  7. Season with black pepper and taste. Add more soy sauce if needed.
  8. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
  9. Garnish with sesame seeds or spring onions.

Variation

Swap chicken for tofu or thin beef strips for a quick alternative.
