Ingredients

  • 1 slice whole-grain or sourdough bread
  • 1 ripe avocado (½ mashed for toast, ½ optional for extra topping)
  • 1 egg (fried, poached, or boiled)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Chili flakes (optional)
  • Olive oil (optional, for drizzling)

Directions

  1. Toast the bread to your liking.
  2. In a small bowl, mash the avocado with lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Spread the mashed avocado evenly over the toast.
  4. Cook the egg the way you like — fried, poached, or soft boiled.
  5. Place the egg on top of the avocado toast.
  6. Sprinkle with chili flakes and drizzle with olive oil if desired.
