Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or breasts)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley or spring onions, chopped (for garnish)
Directions
- Season the chicken lightly with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the chicken. Cook 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- In a small bowl, whisk honey, soy sauce, and vinegar.
- Pour the sauce into the pan. Reduce heat to low.
- Simmer for 5–7 minutes, spooning the sauce over the chicken until thickened and sticky.
- Garnish with parsley or spring onions.
- Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or steamed veggies.
