One-Pan Honey Garlic Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or breasts)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh parsley or spring onions, chopped (for garnish)

Directions

  1. Season the chicken lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add the chicken. Cook 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk honey, soy sauce, and vinegar.
  6. Pour the sauce into the pan. Reduce heat to low.
  7. Simmer for 5–7 minutes, spooning the sauce over the chicken until thickened and sticky.
  8. Garnish with parsley or spring onions.
  9. Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or steamed veggies.
